You may think that the greatest books according to the world are those that are rated as the top selling books of all time that may inspire many because of their millions of copies sold, but we are here to tell you that these books do not stand up or compare to God’s book. You see the world admits that the Harry Potter series books sold over 400 million copies worldwide, but they will not tell you that over the last 50 years the bible has sold 4 billion copies. The world likes to omit God and His words or chooses to believe in atheism or other forms of worldly paganisms that only involve the flesh (not the Holy Spirit).
You see, God’s book is the true word of God and these words came from His mouth. Every time we take a breath of fresh air, it is a blessing from God since this life came from God as we read in Genesis 2:7, where God created Adam, the first living human being: “..the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
As God created life in every human being, He also inspired His chosen people (prophets, apostles, and others) to write the scriptures that today make up the entire Holy Bible. The Greek translation for God-inspired means God-breathed, meaning that every word, verse, and scripture is from the mouth of God. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, it states, “ 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We also read in 2 Peter 1:20-21, that every word came from God’s Holy Spirit and not by man’s interpretation, “ 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
The Holy Bible is a powerful God-inspired book of scriptures that consist of 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament for a total of 66 books comprised of over 31,000 verses (or 31,102 verses). There is awesome power in this book because these are words from the all-powerful, all-knowing, and almighty creator of all creation in the heavens and earth. This holy book gives us God’s instructions, teachings, and commandments for repentance, forgiveness, and salvation, which makes this book the greatest book on planet earth. Hebrews 4:12 tells us the awesome power of God’s word: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
God’s word also tells us that it will endure forever and will never pass away as we read Jesus’s teachings (our Messiah) in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” We also read the same meaning from the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” Jesus illustrates how the word of God is more important than bread when He is tempted in the wilderness by Satan as we read in Matthew 4:1-4, “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’
4 But He answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Jesus is portrayed as the word of God as stated in John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Many of you are familiar with the word “Bible” standing for “basic instructions before leaving earth,” but it is not basic at all. These words and His instructions are most important for our souls and life while on earth. Therefore, we recommend changing the meaning of Bible to be: “the Best and only Instructions Before Leaving Earth” because it’s God’s Holy words. Psalms 119:105 tells us that God’s word guides us through the darkness of this world, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” These are the reasons why God’s word (Holy Bible) is the greatest book on planet earth! Therefore, you should put away every other book and put God’s word (Holy Bible) first and foremost in your life. Reading and following God’s word daily will provide you with blessings beyond your imagination!
