Do You Have An Eternal Insurance Policy?

Eternal-Life-Insurance-Policy

What is an eternal insurance policy or what are we talking about here? Let us first look at the traditional life insurance policy that many may purchase in the extreme case that if a loved one dies, a sum of money is granted to the holder of the insurance policy. Similar to a traditional life insurance policy, an eternal insurance policy is a guarantee that when you die, you will experience eternal paradise with a loving God. Unlike the traditional insurance policy, you will not inherit a sum of money but something much, much, more in value. Also, there is no insurance claim paperwork that is required for the eternal insurance policy and there is no waiting for this guarantee. This eternal policy cannot be purchased by money or material possessions. The eternal insurance policy is your eternal salvation of where you will spend eternity after this life is all used up. For no one knows the number of their days, whether we will live to be 100 years old or 50 years old, etc. Everyone does know that no one can cheat death and that we will all die someday. Our lives on earth are temporarily and we are within a twinkling of eye compared to eternity as we read in James 4:14, “…For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” The bible tells us that our ways lead to death as written in Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” Benjamin Franklin once said, “…nothing is certain except for death and taxes.” There is truth in his statement but there is also another truth of how to NEVER experience death!

Since God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins, where we may have the FREE gift of eternal salvationJohn 3:16-17. God sent Jesus to the earth 2,000 years ago to walk among us as God in the flesh that was fulfilled by previous prophecy scriptures nearly 700 years before coming true as we read in Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin (Mary) shall conceive and bear a son (Jesus), and shall call his name Immanuel (God with Us).” Because Jesus never committed any sin, He was worthy to carry this burden and sacrifice for us as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” It is by the grace of God that we can freely receive this gift of salvation in heaven through His son Jesus. The bible tells us that no one can receive this by good works as we read in Ephesians 2:8-10, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” We just have to believe, accept, and confess that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and we are guaranteed a place in His kingdom. There is no waiting for this guarantee. It is secure as soon as you become a saved and born-again believer in Christ Jesus. No matter your background, ethnicity, race, or culture; everyone can have this true salvation in Jesus as stated in Romans 10:9-13, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, ‘Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him. For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ ”

Because of our sinful nature, we are all doomed to hell and condemnationRomans 6:23. Even if we truly believe we are a good person in our own eyes or in the eyes of the world, this is NOT good enough for the one and only Almighty God. Jesus was the only solution for us as a ransom for our sins1 Timothy 2:5-6. Jesus is the resurrection and life. We are dead in our sins but made alive with Him – John 11:25. We can skip the eternal judgement and punishment for our sins and have eternal life in heaven by accepting and believing in Jesus as we read in John 5:24, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts and wants to save us by living inside of us. We just have to invite Him in as explained in Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me.” Jesus gives us a warning to not fear the men or god (Satan) of this world but only fear God the Father as He stated in Luke 12:4-5, “..My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him (God) who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!”The bible also tells us that if we do not know God through his Son Jesus Christ, then we will be condemned to hell forever (eternity) as we read in 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10, “in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.” If we do not believe or receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we are doomed to eternal wrath as stated in John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life (eternal life), but the wrath of God abides on him.” For even the demons believe in one God and tremble at the name of Jesus Matthew 10:5-8, Acts 16:18, James 2:19. Jesus explained that He is the only way and truth to heaven and that Father God gave Him all authority, as stated in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through Me.” If we are saved through Christ, whether alive or asleep, we will experience the rapture when Jesus comes back for us1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

When we become saved Christians, we are told to no longer live in the flesh but to live in the Spirit by storing up treasures in heaven as Jesus states in Matthew 6:19-21, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” The bible repeats this message where we should not focus on the things of this world as we read in Colossians 3:1-4, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Because we must die with Christ in the flesh and be resurrected with Him in the Spirit, we must become a new creation having a daily walk with God. There must be a major and noticeable change in us where we were once filled with darkness and now, we are filled with only light, where our light shines before others while exposing darknessEphesians 5:8-14. This means we must always put God first through Jesus as stated in Matthew 6:33-34, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” If we do NOT have a relationship with Jesus and do not perform His will for us, we are in jeopardy of hearing harsh words at the great judgement day where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth as stated in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” If we are ashamed of Christ, He will be ashamed of us at the great judgement day. Jesus is known as the word of God and was in the beginning with God where all things were created for Him as we read in John 1:1-4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

We must be watchful and beware of false teachers and lies about the gospel that will take place during these last days2 Timothy 4:3-5. Testing all Spirits according to the scriptures whether of the light or darkness1 John 4:1-4. We must not get misled down a wrong path for lawlessness will continue to rise in these last days leading up to the rapture and great tribulation.
