We Are All Wicked Sinners

Wicked-Sinners

All humans have been sinning in the flesh ever since the beginning of time began. From the first created human beings, Adam & Eve, that dwelled in the perfect Garden of Eden, the wicked devil serpent tricked Eve into eating of the fruit that God instructed them not to eat. Eve also gave to Adam to eat, which forced God to curse them by kicking them out of His perfect garden – Genesis 3:1-24. The first murder took place when Cain (Adam’s first born son) killed his younger brother Abel because of pure jealousy. Cain was jealous that Abel was favored more by God since Abel’s heart was righteous and innocent compared to Cain. God also favored Abel’s offering more than Cain’s due to Abel’s strong faith. Even though God instructed Cain to do better, Cain was overwhelmed by sin and filled with the evil one (Satan) and committed murder – Genesis 4:1-12. The bible tells us that Cain’s ways were evil in 1 John 3:11-12, “For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.”

There had been approximately 1,600 years or more after the creation of Adam & Eve to the Flood where God saw the entire earth filled with evil wickedness where He was sad that He had ever made man and all creatures. God brought a destructive Flood on the world to destroy all wickedness and preserved Noah’s family (8 humans) who were righteous in God’s eyes – Genesis 6:5-8. This was God’s restart to start all over on the earth by removing all the wicked creatures (including Nephilim). Nearly 700 years later, after the Flood, we see that the people on the earth had become wicked and rebellious against God again. At this time, the whole world had one language and speech and were one people who dwelled in the land of Shinar (near Babylon) to build a great city and great Tower of Babel, that would reach to heaven in order to rebel and become like God – Genesis 11:1-12. They were under the wicked and mighty ruler Nimrod (a giant and mighty hunter having incredible strength). God ended the construction of the Tower of Babel by confusing the language of all the people as we read in Genesis 11:7-9, ” ‘Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.’ So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth.”

Only 200 years later, after the Tower of Babel, Sodom & Gomorrah was destroyed by God for their extreme sin and wickedness. For they performed many lustful sins in public that were acceptable by all including sexual immortality, or homosexuality, as we read in Genesis 19:4-5, “Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.’ ” Because of their sinful wickedness, God spared and saved only Lot’s family and rained down His wrath by destroying Sodom & Gomorrah with fire and brimstone – Genesis 19:24-25. Today, we can see where America and other nations are following the same sinful lusts and wicked practices of Sodom & Gomorrah, by rejecting all of God’s commandments and His word and believing sinful lies as a new way of life. This is the reason that we all need to repent! Later, we see where God saved the Israelites from the pagan and sinful Egyptians that would not let His people (Israelites) go by parting the Red Sea where God destroyed all of Pharaoh’s Egyptian Army by allowing the parted Red Sea to collapse back on them, crushing all of them to death – Exodus 14:19-29. We continue to read throughout the scriptures where time and time again, God punishes the sinful and wicked people and nations that do not repent and obey God’s commandments but reject God by worshipping other false gods.

When God sent His only Son Jesus over 2,000 years ago to save this sinful world through His grace, death, and resurrection, even the biblical scholars (Pharisees, Scribes, and Teachers) who knew the scriptures better than most were wicked and sinful and did not believe in Jesus and had him crucified. This was all part of God’s plan and was the only solution to save all the wicked and sinful human race. The bible tells us that we are all wicked sinners and no one is without sin, except Jesus. In Romans 3:9-23, it states “…both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive. The venom of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The scribes and Pharisees, who thought they were righteous, perfect and without sin, wanted to stone to death an adulterous woman, but Jesus wrote on the ground their sins that each one of them were convicted of committing in their conscience to where all dropped their stones and walked away. Jesus forgave her of her sins and instructed her to sin no more – John 8:3-11. The bible tells us that we are fools and liars if we believe that we are without sin, as we read in 1 John 1:8-10, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” Only by the bloodshed of Jesus and by His resurrection (victory over death) can we be forgiven for our sins. Jesus alone saves all that believe and have a relationship with Him!

In Romans 6:23, it states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus is the only way to get to heaven and He offers true salvation, as we read in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (Jesus).” In Timothy 2:5-6, it states, “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.”
